The Austrian squad has announced significant changes for the 2026 Grand Prix year, elevating French driver Isack Hadjar to its A-team and giving British teenager Arvid Lindblad his first F1 drive.
Lindblad, who comes from a mixed Swedish-Indian background, will be team-mate to Kiwi driver Liam Lawson at the junior outfit Racing Bulls.
These changes sees Japan's Yuki Tsunoda exiting the grid after five seasons.
Arvid Lindblad participated in first practice for the Silverstone and Mexican Grands Prix this year.
The youngster was marked out as a potential future star by Red Bull from the age of 12 years old.
Regarding the company's junior academy, a senior Red Bull figure noted last year that Lindblad "appears very talented", commending his "pure speed".
The team has had a plan for some time to ready Lindblad for his potential Grand Prix bow in 2026, featuring appearances in F1 practice sessions at Silverstone and Mexico City.
Lindblad stated it was a "proud moment", adding: "2026 will be a massive test, and I know there's a lot to learn, but I'm ready to collaborate with the team and meet the challenge. I can't wait to get started."
He has won two races in F2 this year and is sixth in the championship heading into the final round in Abu Dhabi.
The French driver enjoys his first podium in F1, achieved at the Zandvoort race this season.
The Frenchman's debut season started in difficult fashion when he crashed on the formation lap of the season-opening Australian Grand Prix. However, from that point, he has emerged as one of the most impressive rookies of the year.
His performances included an excellent podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he sits 10th in the drivers' standings.
A senior team figure commented: "Hadjar has shown impressive growth and demonstrated to be a fast adapter. Most importantly, he has the raw speed that is the primary necessity in this sport. We believe he can succeed alongside Max."
The promoted driver called it "an awesome move" and said he felt "up for the challenge".
To partner Lindblad at Racing Bulls, Red Bull have chosen Lawson instead of Tsunoda.
The New Zealander started 2025 with the main team but was moved back after just two races. However, he has settled back in at Racing Bulls with notable results, persuading Red Bull he deserves more time.
Tsunoda, meanwhile, loses his place after a difficult season. His highest finish is a P6, and he has scored a minor percentage of the team's points total.
The driver market moves confirm that there remains no spot on the Red Bull academy for Ireland's Alex Dunne, who will continue in F2 next season.
