Patrick Bamford Signs With Sheffield United Despite Leading Derogatory Chants About Coach Wilder
The striker is now a member of Sheffield United only half a year following instigating derogatory taunts aimed at the team's coach, Wilder.
The 32-year-old forward, without a club since leaving Leeds, has put pen to paper on a agreement joining the second-tier strugglers through the winter. His lengthy career with Leeds concluded through agreement in August.
One of Bamford’s last memorable actions while at Leeds was to lead insulting chants about Chris Wilder during Leeds' promotion party in April. Currently, the former England international will feature for Wilder as the Blades’ manager seeks to rescue the team he loves out of the relegation zone.
Previous Conflict Between the Striker and Wilder

Chris Wilder said at the time: “Spoke with Pat recently and I have no issue at all with that. I’m not sure regarding the words used from a fellow professional! However I valued and admired him calling me.
“We had a short while and the same again I talked with Daniel as well and had a half-hour chat together and he's a super guy, a class act. When I was playing we used to give it and accept it and that is part and parcel of the game at every level, including a Sunday morning. I've got absolutely no issue. I am cool with the situation and I told him that to Pat.”
Recent Career Struggles
Bamford featured in 18 games with Leeds United last season but the former Nottingham Forest, Chelsea and Boro striker has faced difficulties with fitness issues over the past few seasons.
