The tenth week again delivered, with a huge upset for the Bills proving the 'any Sunday can bring surprises' saying that draws so many fans into the NFL

That result may have opened opportunities for the Patriots to move back into a top spot they used to occupy, with a remaining games that provides them an advantage over their 8-2 competitors

Over in the NFC the Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had perfect results to arrange a monster clash next week, while our top performer is chasing records as well as the MVP award

The Breakdown - Just a Bad Day for Buffalo?

Josh Allen in action
Did Josh Allen try too much or could it simply have been a bad day for the Bills?

Was it just an emotional letdown from defeating Kansas City last week or something more? This remains the question for the Buffalo team to address

The Buffalo squad had won seven in a row against the Dolphins but were second best from the start as the Dolphins emerged as 30-13 winners in an surprising outcome - and performance

MVP Josh Allen only got the team's opening first down in the third quarter and initial scoring in the final quarter - yes the Dolphins had 10 days to get ready but it was nonetheless a significant failure laid by one of the league's top offences

Dolphins quarterback Tua passed for two touchdowns but rusher Achane was the game-changing factor, with 225 combined yards and two touchdowns

Bottling up the league's best rushing attack was also key, with Cook and company registering just 86 yards, their fewest of the year and just over half their 161.5 yard average

Then there were the three critical turnovers, and the two from Allen in particular. An pass caught by defense in the end zone resulting in a nine minute drive produced nothing, and his fourth-quarter fumble that Miami converted to a touchdown just later

It was classic 'old Buffalo' as they shot themselves in the foot, falling into a hole on defense and Josh Allen attempting to overcompensate to dig his team out of it - not the calm, controlled, balanced Buffalo team we've seen this year

Miami have demonstrated a bit of everything this season so the jury's out on whether this is the beginning of a trend, but for the Bills they'll require an instant response in a tough game against Tampa Bay next week as the Patriots are quietly moving into a nice lead at the summit of the American Football Conference East

In Focus - Patriots See Path to Surprise Top Seed

Speaking of the New England, they're among three eight and two teams in the league, all AFC sides, but are they the best?

You can pick holes in New England, the Broncos and the Colts actually for feasting on the weaker opponents, with only five of their total twenty-four wins achieved against opponents with a positive record - and one example was the Colts beating the Broncos

The Broncos defeated the champion Eagles in Philadelphia and are kings of the fourth-quarter while Indianapolis can ride Jonathan Taylor, but the New England including Sunday's win in Tampa to their primtime success in Buffalo appears to be a statement

Their two defeats occurred in recently appointed coach Vrabel's initial three contests, with seven straight wins, just like the Broncos, since then - but taking down Mayfield after the Buccaneers had a bye to get ready was significant

Maye's MVP claims continue to be discussed, and he definitely earns credit for bravery after taking some hard tackles in Tampa Bay but persevering to guide his team to victory

The defensive unit is reliable and first-year running back TreVeyon Henderson exploded on game day with 147 yards and two exciting touchdowns of 55 and 69 yards - establishing himself as just the fifth ball carrier to exceed 22mph this year on his initial touchdown

Although you can argue who 'the top team' is statistically, the Pats should be favourites to end with the best record thanks to their schedule - which includes just one game against a successful opponent, although a huge one against the Bills

Visiting Baltimore is also tough, but Denver have it more difficult in the AFC West division with the Kansas City to play twice, the Los Angeles Chargers (who might also challenge for top seed but face the same problem) and additionally the Packers on the fixture list

The Indianapolis also face the Kansas City, and have the Seattle, 49ers and two matchups with the five and four Jacksonville to contend with. There's a long way to travel but the opportunity is available for a shock top seed in the AFC

Next Week - Rams & Seahawks Set for Week 11 Clash

Two teams with solid claims to be better than all of the three different 8-2 sides are National Football Conference West opponents the Seahawks and Los Angeles, who both scored forty points to reach 7-2 before the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster game between the two in Los Angeles

Both have won four in a row, have quarterbacks in Stafford and Sam Darnold performing at an elite level (although Sam Darnold had turnover issues on game day) with excellent pass catchers, and defensive units giving up fewer than twenty points a game

Both could realistically be without a loss as too - particularly the Los Angeles as their pair of losses occurred in overtime against the 49ers and then that agonising loss in Philadelphia when they had a game-winning kick with the last kick blocked and returned by the Eagles for a score

Seattle also lost to the 49ers, with a late touchdown in week one, before losing to the final play of the contest against the Tampa Bay - so they're genuinely two of the top teams in the NFL

The next matchup on Sunday could be the most exciting of the season to date

Top Performer - Taylor
